The Pronovias Group started out as a family firm in 1964. Since then, it has become the leader in Spain’s bridal wear sector, pioneer in the design of prêt-à-porter bridal gowns and founder of the first specialist boutiques.
In the nineteen seventies, it opened 80 shops all over Spain and set up its head office in Prat de Llobregat. In 1980, it went global, opening subsidiaries in France, Italy, the UK and Germany, and began to distribute its products in Latin America. The Catalan firm is now established in many foreign markets, making it a world leader in the trade. Its exports account for a world market share of 5%, and its labels Pronovias, La Sposa, W1, AD, St. Patrick and SP Collection are sold in more than 60 countries. It has 120 outlets in Spain (70 standalones and 50 franchisees) and new subsidiaries in the USA, Canada and Greece.
The firm’s collection, which includes a bridal gown, an accessories and a ceremonial wear line, is designed with the help of top names like Hannibal Laguna, Manuel Mota, Miguel Palacio and Lydia Delgado. It is currently continuing its bid for an international haute couture, incorporating collections by Elie Saab, Emmanuel Húngaro and Badgley Mischka.
